Our Mission Statement
We create pathways that empower children and young people step by step—through education, care, and genuine opportunities for growth that lead them toward a self-determined and fulfilling future.
Our Vision
Tuwapende Watoto accompanies children and young people on their journey through life—step by step, from early childhood to their entry into the workforce. At the children’s home, children in need find a sense of belonging, safety, and loving care.
With kindergarten, primary, secondary, and vocational schools, we create continuous educational pathways that foster knowledge, responsibility, and independence. We strengthen social awareness and enable children from disadvantaged families to access education.
Through all our projects, we contribute to the positive development of the Bunju B community and thereby promote sustainable prospects for the future
Our Mission

Children’s Home
A Sense of Security for Strong Roots
We provide a caring family for orphaned and abandoned children.
We support them so they can lead independent lives characterized by responsibility, self-reliance, and compassion.
We value high-quality education and training and help the children develop into active and successful members of Tanzanian society.

Nursery
Growing Together, Learning for Life
Daycare center
In our daycare, we care for children up to age 3. The children experience daily life with peers and receive individualized support. We promote early childhood education, integration, and individual development within the framework of a balanced educational program. The language of instruction is Kiswahili as the native language. English is used as a supplement.
Kindergarten
In our preschool, we support children from age 3 until they enter elementary school. We foster their social, linguistic, and cognitive development and provide targeted preparation for primary school. We follow Montessori principles and encourage independence and a sense of responsibility. The language of instruction is English.
We also provide access to children from low-income families. We cover part of the tuition fees or pay them in full. The decision is made following an assessment of the family’s circumstances.

Primary school
Education as the Foundation for the Future
Elementary school lays the foundation for academic learning and opens up a wide range of opportunities for further education.
We offer children between the ages of 6 and 14 a structured, high-quality education. Elementary school concludes after seven years with the state exam. The language of instruction is English. Kiswahili and French are also taught. We foster knowledge, responsibility, and initiative. We guide the children to become active and successful members of Tanzanian society.
We support children from low-income families by covering some or all of their school fees. Families in particular need can submit an application. Approval is granted following a home visit.
Secondary school
Creating Opportunities, Making Dreams Come True
Our secondary school builds on the solid foundation laid in elementary school and guides young people on their journey toward knowledge, maturity, and independence.
We impart in-depth subject knowledge, critical thinking, and a sense of responsibility—skills that prepare them for further education or their first job. Through dedicated teachers, hands-on instruction, and individualized support, we create learning environments that nurture talents and open doors to future opportunities.
Scholarships also provide students from disadvantaged families with access to our secondary school.

Vocational School
Strong in a Trade, Ready for Life
A solid vocational education is the foundation for an independent and successful life in Tanzanian society.
We offer a dual vocational training program at an affordable tuition rate. We also help young people who cannot attend secondary school due to financial constraints or insufficient academic performance.
We foster their technical skills and general education. They complete the two- or three-year apprenticeship with a state-recognized diploma.
All vocational programs are offered to both women and men.
