The Tuwapende Watoto Foundation is a children's aid organization in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It provides orphaned and abandoned children with a loving home and a good education to secure their future sustainably and in the long term.

Newsletter / Annual Report

The Tuwapende Watoto Newsletter is published twice a year (in May and November) and features plenty of news and reports from the children’s home and school in Tanzania, as well as updates from the foundation. Since 2015, the printed version of the newsletter has included the annual financial statements (which can be obtained from the Chair of the Board of Trustees).

For many years, Tuwapende Watoto has been dedicated to helping disadvantaged children in Tanzania. Through a comprehensive range of educational and care services, children and young people are given the opportunity to build an independent and successful future—supported by compassion, dedication, and long-term assistance.

Events

By organizing and hosting various events, we aim to raise awareness of our foundation among interested individuals, other foundations, and companies in order to attract additional donors.

In recent years, we have held several Tinga Tinga art exhibitions in Switzerland and Germany, much to the delight of many enthusiastic buyers of these artworks from Tanzania.

Upon invitation, our board members and ambassadors are happy to speak at culturally and socially engaged foundations and service clubs (Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis, etc.).

In addition, we host an annual golf tournament in Switzerland, which is highly appreciated by many golfers. Further similar events are in the planning stages.
