Creating opportunities, realizing dreams

Starting in 2025, we will continue to guide our students—with state-of-the-art facilities and a big heart.

A school is being built – a dream comes true

In January 2025, our secondary school opened its doors for the first time. Thirty students began their secondary education—many of them had already attended our primary school, while others came from neighboring schools in the region. In January 2026, the number of students increased significantly: 44 students started in Form 1, and 26 more in Form 2.

What sets us apart is our model as a day school in the heart of Bunju B. We are not a boarding school—our students study here while continuing to live with their families. This is particularly important for children with disabilities as well as for families who prefer to care for their children themselves

A pilot project is currently underway in secondary schools that plans to divide classes into two tracks after the second school year: an academic track and a vocational track. All of our secondary students participate with great enthusiasm in the courses offered in the vocational school’s workshops. Vocational school teachers are convinced that gaining targeted exposure to vocational training significantly increases its appeal. As a result, vocational training with good prospects on the job market is increasingly preferred over a purely academic career path. This stands in contrast to the current situation, in which many young people strive for an academic degree even though the prospects for finding a corresponding job are often slim.

We are ideally positioned for this future collaboration between the secondary school and the vocational school: Both schools are located on the same campus, enabling close, hands-on cooperation.

What sets our secondary school apart:

Modern facilities for the best education

Starting in 2027, 22 classrooms will be available for over 600 students. All rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art learning technology.

The facilities are complemented by three fully equipped laboratories for chemistry, physics, and biology, where theory comes to life through hands-on practice. An extensive library with books and digital media rounds out the overall offering.

This creates spaces where young people can explore, experiment, and discover their talents.

The necessary offices, staff rooms, and a first-aid room are available for the administration and teachers. The break areas and restroom facilities comply with current regulations.

From Vision to Reality

For years, families in Bunju B had been asking: When will you build a secondary school?

In October 2024, the time had come—registration was approved and the buildings for the first phase of construction were completed.

What once began as a vision became reality in January 2025: the first 30 secondary school students began their education in six newly constructed classrooms. With the completion of the second construction phase in April 2026, another eight classrooms will be added. Subsequently, the third and final construction phase will begin with an additional eight classrooms, completing the physical development of the secondary school.

By early 2028, over 600 study places will thus be available—just in time to accommodate the sharp increase in primary school graduates. This is a direct consequence of the elimination of the seventh grade of primary school at the end of 2027. Our goal is to address a shortage of study places in the region early on while simultaneously expanding to enable even more young people to access high-quality education

Starting in the 2028 school year, the secondary school will also be operated independently and on a self-sustaining basis.

A Day at Secondary School

Morning: Starting the Day with Enthusiasm

Our school buses pick up the students from Bunju B and the surrounding villages. Classes begin on time, and the classrooms are bright and modern. Teachers who love their subjects and share their enthusiasm.

Lunchtime: Eating Together and Recharging

In our school kitchen, the team prepares fresh, healthy meals every day. Everyone gathers in the dining hall: time to relax, laugh, and nurture friendships.

Afternoon: Experimenting and Deepening Knowledge

Students conduct research in the labs, study in the library, and play in the schoolyard. Here, students have the space to try new things and discover their interests.
